I am commanded by the Argy Council to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter numbered 4571/1980 and dated 30th. ultimo, enclosing copies of correspondence regarding the claim for repatriation to Hong Kong of Captain S.P. Leigh,
Royal Field Artillery.
I am to state, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, that the Officer in question is not eligible for repatriation under Army Council Instruction 491 of 1919. No action is therefore possible in his case and the question of the provision of a free passage for his
wife does not of course arise.
